Section 483 CrPC — Duty of High Court to exercise continuous superintendence over Courts of Judicial Magistrates
Replaced from 1 July 2024 by BNSS 529 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. Offences committed on or before 30 June 2024 are still charged under the CrPC.
The law now: BNSS 529 — Duty of High Court to exercise continuous superintendence over Courts
Every High Court shall so exercise its superintendence over the Courts of Session and Courts of Judicial Magistrates subordinate to it as to ensure that there is an expeditious and proper disposal of cases by the Judges and Magistrates.
