Find a Lawyer

Compliance & what lawyers can show

Indian advocates are governed by Bar Council of India (BCI) Rule 36 and the 2008 amendment permitting basic website information. LawCentral is built so every lawyer's profile stays inside those limits.

What you will see on a profile

  • Name, Bar Council state and enrolment number
  • Year of enrolment and years of practice
  • Office address, email, phone
  • Languages, practice areas, courts practiced in
  • Educational qualifications and bar-association memberships
  • A neutral descriptive bio (not a sales pitch)
  • Firm affiliation (if applicable)
  • Objective badges — Verified, Active, Responds in ≤24h

What you will never see

  • Claims of being a "specialist", "expert", "top lawyer", or "best in X"
  • Case win-rates or success percentages
  • Past client names or identifying case details
  • Star ratings — never computed, never sortable
  • Paid featured placement or "sponsored" search results

Money flows

LawCentral does not hold client funds. Clients pay lawyers directly. We do not take a commission on consultations, per-inquiry fees, or paid-lead charges. Our revenue comes from software subscriptions we sell to lawyers — nothing else.

How ranking works

See How it works for the full formula. In short: profile completeness, platform activity, inquiry response rate, and years of practice — no paid signal anywhere.
